Perfect, perfect, perfect. This artful cozy house is just as it appears in the photos. Charming, comfy, and happy. Trey and his wife have created the perfect getaway. All the functional needs of a home (we cooked a few meals and did laundry) with a vacation feel. The neighborhood is eclectic and fun - with chickens and roosters roaming everywhere! The private patio and firepit in the back are a treat. Easy, short walk to the 7th Avenue "strip" of Ybor City - restaurants, clubs, cigar shops, and music. We were so happy staying in the Roost that we had a hard time leaving. We have family in the area and hope to make this place our regular Tampa home !

The Roost was a perfect getaway place and very easy to find in Ybor City. The hosts were very easy to talk to and most helpful if we had any questions. As soon as we walked in through the door, the place was very inviting and had a comfortable layout. The Roost has a unique way of being decorated, so that you feel very much a part of Ybor City, and you can tell a lot of heart and special touches have been added throughout the place. Only a short distance walk to the main strip of 7th Avenue, and you are put smack dab in the heart of all the restaurants, shops, and nightlife. We loved waking up in the morning hearing the roosters' call. You can look out the window or step outside to see the roosters, chickens, fowls just strolling along the street. We didn't try feeding them over the fence with the food the home offered though. It was easy to wake up in morning to easy cup of coffee and a nice handwritten letter leading us to the local bakery for a delicious breakfast treat. The place was well air conditioned and just far enough that no noise carried over from the Ybor nightlife. We would definitely recommend staying here as a couple and would stay here again.
