“The Roost in Ybor City is an incredible little house. It's cute, cozy, and a great location. The house had everything we could possibly need, from a Keurig stocked with k-cups, sugar, and creamer, to a plentiful amount of dishes and extra bedding. Our favorite thing was the wildlife! Chickens, cats, and a peacock, usually in the backyard, but always around the neighborhood. The roosters could crow a little early, but the hosts have provided an electric noise maker in the bedroom, and a tub of ear plugs if that's not enough. I will stay here every time I visit Tampa, it was perfect.”

Trey & Erin have created a tiny home with comfort and charm - artful decor, modern appliances, just the right size for a single traveler or a couple, and close to everything - incredible local dining, Downtown Tampa nearby, and of course the plethora of beaches, from Clearwater to Fort De Soto (the best). “Perfect little house for our stay and in an outstanding location. Full kitchen, coffee, lots of nice little touches to make it feel like home. Very clean and very comfortable. The only minor thing unexpected was the many cats living right around the house and hanging out in the back patio. And the roosters crowing! All in all such a great place, I’d love to stay there again.”

“YBOR Roost served as the perfect escape from Pittsburgh for my wife and I during a long weekend in the Tampa area. We were looking to experience a different part of FL with some Cuban influence and good craft beer scene. YBOR City delivers!! YBOR Roost is in very close proximity to great coffee (aka café con leche….Tre Amici At the Bunker & La Tropicana Cuban Café), fantastic Cuban food (La Tropicana Cuban Café & Columbia Restaurant) and countless craft breweries!! 7th Ave. is just steps away offering many bars, breweries, and clubs serving as a great spot for people watching, especially the weekend before Halloween!! YBOR Roost is cozy, but not cramped. We found the property to be very clean upon arrival. The hosts were in contact with us before arrival and before checkout. Check-in was a breeze. Be ready for many animal friends....chickens and roosters abound and provide great entertainment. A friendly peacock called this area home during our stay as well. All were present each morning while we enjoyed coffee on the front porch. We found Uber service to be excellent during our stay when visiting places too far to walk during the record heat. The free trolley, with the first stop just a few short blocks away, offers service into Tampa where you can enjoy a stroll along the Riverwalk. Be sure to checkout Armature Works for a bite to eat and drink while overlooking the Hillsborough River. We would highly recommend YBOR Roost for a comfortable, convenient stay if visiting YBOR City and the Tampa area. This Airbnb property is on our list of "must returns" for sure!!”

“The Roost was great! Cozy, comfy and well equipped for your stay in Ybor. Parking was easy and the neighborhood was quiet, though I stayed during the week. I rang the bell, fed the chickens and a few stray kitties, and even saw a random peacock wandering around. I enjoyed my visit here and hope to stay again the next time I’m in town!”

“The Roost is a great place to stay if you want to experience all things Ybor. It’s literally 800 ft from some of the bars and restaurants. We enjoyed the cute and cozy decor. The backyard is cute and there is no shortage of critters to visit with. Lots of chickens, a couple friendly kitties and even a peacock visited on our short stay. The place was very clean and set up well for being a small space . *note about noise- if you are a light sleeper or aren’t looking to be in the midst of an active nightlife scene this may not be the place for you. Erin and Trey have added many helpful and thoughtful touches to address the noise. And with the ac on we weren’t bothered too much by it.”

“If you are planning to stay in Ybor, just stop looking and book this place. It is very convenient to 7th Ave so you can walk to and from the place during the day and night. Street was busy the day we arrived (construction/renovations), but we had a spot on the street and we were able to move the car to the spot in front of the house before 5. The place was clean, unique, and manages the long, narrow space very well. Also, the back yard is perfect for relaxing with a few beers before hitting up the local joints. I'm pretty sure we will be back when we decide to stay in Ybor again.”

“Ybor Roost was perfect. I was in town for a conference, and the TECO Line Streetcar was a direct shot from the Tampa Convention Center to Ybor. The Trolley station was just a two block walk from the house. And the local chickens/roosters were cute! I had my coffee every morning on the back patio, rung the bell, spread the chicken food, and hung out with the roosters. Loved everything about the stay - would definitely stay here again if life brings me back to Tampa.”

“The place was as described-comfortable and convenient complete with animal friends. It was such a delight to stay there. My husband and I felt like we were coming home each time we walked through the gate! The bedroom was quiet and contributed to a good sleep. The main area of the home was spacious and filled with fun art with “nods” to the colorful roosters that roam Ybor City. Trey and Erin stocked the “home away from home” with all the essentials and then some. They were great hosts and I would definitely return again!”
