Hi Leah, I am sorry the chickens were super active and noisy during your colleagues stay. I wish your colleague would have reached out during her stay so we could help remedy the issue and guide her. We have a white noise machine in the bedroom, earplugs for the sensitive sleepers, and turning on the AC unit or heater also creates additional white noise which will drown out the clucks! The chickens roam freely throughout all of Ybor and are a part of the location and history.

“This place is the perfect spot to bed down in Ybor City. Just off the strip, very clean and a perfect spot for a couple to visit the area. The hosts were very responsive and went out of their way to let me check-in early as I attended a conference. I could not be more pleased with the accommodations.”

“Wonderful little quaint house. Very close to all the hot spots in Ybor City but at the same time quiet and private. The house is very well decorated and functional. I enjoyed my stay here and only wish I had a few more days to fully take advantage of the location and the house amenities.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Trey and Erin's place. They were very easy to work with and their house is nicely appointed so we didn't want for anything. It is in a great location that allowed us to easily walk to restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. We also adventured out of the area and had an exceptional breakfast at Datz, which I highly recommend to future guests.”

“The Ybor Roost was great! So close and convenient to Ybor while giving you enough distance for some peace & quiet when needed. Home is perfect for 2 people and had everything we needed. In every inch of the home you can see the detail and attention that was put into decorating this home. Perfect spot if you want to visit Ybor and live like a local.”

“Trey & Erin's place is centrally located in Ybor City. Walking distance to all the restaurants and bars (if that is your thing). Safe parking right in front of their place. They have all the travel amenities that you need - shampoo, lotion, etc. Cable TV if you want to relax in. Yes there are chickens, and they make noise all night (day) long but you are fairly warned before hand and they provide ear plugs if you need. The chickens are not an issue.”

“Loved staying at the super cute Ybor Roost! The location was perfect, the house was beautifully decorated! The host were REALLY fast to respond to any inquiries we had too. Bonus- they even had a pack n play that we were able to use for our 13 month old. You should stay there too. :)”

“We enjoyed our stay. The roost was small but well appointed with all our needs and well decorated. It was very close to many restaurants. We loved eating at the Columbia. As a couple in our mid 40's we did not go out of our way to enjoy the nightlife but sure it's a blast.”

“Wow! What a fun cute place. Only steps from the lively action of the 7th avenue action of Ybor! I had an event in the Italian Club so it was amazingly convenient!! The hosts were very responsive and the place was super comfortable. I recommend it to anyone looking for an eclectic place to stay close to the action!”

“How can a tiny, comfortable house be both "secluded" and "within walking distance of restaurants and nightlife"? Sounds impossible, but the Ybor Roost is both. So easy to walk around Ybor City but the house is a couple blocks away from the nightlife and restaurants (and coffee places in the morning) on a nice quiet street. Ybor is fascinating - there are roosters and chickens walking all over the place - we even spied a couple little chicks. We have stayed in great Airbnb's in places like London and Tokyo, yet no place we've ever stayed has been quite as delightful as Ybor Roost. One of a kind! Cute, clean, quirky, but with a modern kitchen and bathroom. You could feel the love and attention that our hosts put into it. I would love to know the history of this unique house - considering Ybor City's origins as a cigar-making town in the 1880s, I wouldn't be surprised if this lovely little house was once a family cigar-making factory. We will stay again if the opportunity arises. One last thing: Erin was superb as a host - we never had any problems checking in or arranging our stay. Highly recommended!! - N&M”
